Family Pictures

A few weeks ago we took some family pictures in my mom and dad's back yard. We didn't have any professional photographer take them, we just set up my mom's camera on a tripod and took a bunch of pictures. Then Barry doctored up the picture on his high-tech computer program and made it look just right. It turned out to be one of our best pictures ever! We're going to do it this way from now on. Goodbye expensive professional photographers!

The pictures below are taken on my camera so they're nothing special but turned out pretty cute. Some day I want to be a part of the D50 club!

Happy Halloween!

Bridger had a wonderful time on his first Halloween! After our morning walk, we went over to Grandma Hart's to carve pumpkins. After a few hours we had only finished three pumpkins but they turned out great. Here they are:

We had a few left over from the party the week before but they were already rotting so they didn't look too great. My mom and dad bought me and Brooke a gingerbread haunted house and so we put that together after the pumpkins. It turned out pretty cute!

After dinner we went home and got ready for trick or treating. Jake and I were more excited than Bridger 'cause we were the ones who were going to eat all the candy! We stopped by Scott and Lori's for some yummy carmel apples, then we stopped at Cookie and Steve's but they weren't home. Next, we visited Great Grandma Donna and had some delicious apple crisp. Then we went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Smith's for some more treats! Grandma Smith couldn't recognize Jake in his Captain Jack costume. She was wondering what a crazy looking long haired woman was doing in their house holding Bridger. To finish the night off we went back to my mom and dad's and hung out for a while. Bridger had such a fun day and was all tuckered out by the end of the night. What a fun holiday!

I bought these silly Halloween binkies for Bridger. This one was hilarious!

Harts' Halloween Party

Our annual Halloween party was on October 23rd this year at my parents' house. My mom, Brooke, and I had a fun time making Halloween treats and getting ready for the party. We love Halloween!

Almost everyone that came dressed up. There were some pretty awesome costumes this year! We also carved some sweet pumpkins! Here are some pictures from the party:

We had homemade root beer, little witch hats and brooms, fiber one monsters, sugar cookies, taco soup, chips and salsa, fruit, veggies, and it was all delicious!

I got this cute pirate costume for Bridger at Babies 'R' Us. Have you seen a cuter pirate?

Eliza as Tinkerbell, Grandma Donna as a Socialite, Mom and Dad as Peter Pan and a Sheriff, and Jake as Captain Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp's got nothing on Jake!

Steve came as, well...Steve, Jake, Bridger and I were pirates, Zach was a gorilla (and scared little Ivy to death), Cookie was a bomber pilot, and Madie was the Devil.

Turk was there as Tobias from Arrested Development (even though he's never seen it--Barry and I decided that's who he was), Makenzie was a dentist, Barry was a pilot, Ivy was a fairy, Jessie was Taylor Swift with Jason as Kanye West (hilarious!), Driggs was a baby monkey, Whitney was a zebra, and Brooke didn't quite get her costume ready in time for the party but I'm sure it'll be awesome when she's finished.

We finished the night off by carving pumpkins. Thanks to everyone who came and made it a great party!

Smith Family Pumpkin Party

Every year my Grandma and Grandpa Smith have the whole family over for a pumpkin party. We have a yummy dinner, eat lots of desserts, drink hot chocolate, make s'mores, and pick out our pumpkins from Grandpa's pumpkin patch. It's always a blast and this year we had Brandy with us. Bridger loved it--at least the part he was awake for. What a great party! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!

Brandy's visit

We've been so lucky to have Jake's family members visit one by one for the past couple of months. This past week Brandy came to Salt Lake for a scrapbooking convention and we got to have her stay at our house. We had fun going out to dinner, watching movies, going to the pumpkin party, and just hanging out. Here are a few pictures from her visit:

The Zoo

We went to Hogle Zoo with Grandma, Grandpa, Brody and Corine and the girls. I hadn't been to the zoo for years and it was Bridger's first time. It was so fun! I forgot how cool it was. We loved looking at the animals! They had a baby elephant, a baby snow leopard, three baby tigers, and a baby giraffe that were all adorable! It got a little stormy at the end of our visit but we had a great time.

I told Bridger to pose like a turtle and this is what he came up with.

I had to prove that I could fit in this turtle and I got a little carried away once I was in there.

What a dork!

Lake Powell

We had a wonderful trip to Lake Powell with the Harts! Jake and I couldn't make up our minds if we were going to go this year but the night before we decided we didn't want to miss out. Good thing we went because we had a blast and Bridger loved it! We did nothing but jet ski, wakeboard, have tube wars, hike, swim, play games, eat yummy food, and just enjoy the beautiful scenery! What a fun trip! It never lasts long enough.

Grandma Nielsen's Visit

We had a short visit from Lynnadele last weekend. She is on her way up to Idaho Falls to be with Misty when her baby is born and we got to have her stay at our house for a night. Bridger was so excited to see her again!
