Moving to Salt Lake at last!
Our exciting news is Jake's graduating in May and we've decided to move to Salt Lake! I'm so excited! We have to sell our house in Logan first but we've been looking around Salt Lake for a town home or house. If any of you know any good places in the Salt Lake valley (preferably on the East side) please let us know. Also, Jake is job hunting now so if you know of any good accounting positions available please let us know that also. Thanks! We're excited to move closer to lots of family and friends!

Laurel's Art Workshop
This last week my mom put on a watercolor workshop at the Sons of Utah Pioneers for the Utah Watercolor Society. It was Thursday night, Friday night, and all day Saturday. I was able to come down from Logan and attend it. I'm so glad I did! My mom did an amazing job like she always does. I met some great artists and I learned so much about how to paint. Hopefully someday I'll be able to paint like my mom. Here are a few pictures from the workshop:
One of our assignments was to find a picture with a good light source on it, do a sketch of it showing the light and dark patterns, and then paint it. Here's my finished product. It turned out pretty abstract so if you can't tell what it is, it's a lady sitting on a bench. I also started another piece but it's not finished yet so I'll post it when I'm done.
These are all the ladies that came. They were so sweet! A couple of them came three hours early just so they could get good seats! They called themselves Laurel's "groupies." Each of them would come up to me and tell me what they love about my mom's art and what a wonderful job she did on the workshop. We had a great time!

Bunnies!!
Blaine and the boys have a rabbit that just had baby bunnies! They are SO cute! Check 'em out:
My mom and Sandy. When they were kids they would grab the little paws of kittens, puppies, bunnies, etc. and squish them while saying in a high squeaky voice, "Seberdicky, seberdicky, seberdicky!" Don't ask me where they got that!

More fun with the girls!
For Makenzie's birthday my mom gave her an American Girl doll. These dolls were mine and Brooke's favorite when we were growing up so we both have two of them. The other night while Brody and Corine went to a Jazz game, the girls came over to my parents house and we got out all the dolls and their accessories! It was a blast! Here are a few pictures from our doll party:
My parents gave me a wheelchair to go with my doll since I always wanted a wheelchair when I was growing up (don't ask me why, I'm very grateful for the use of my legs!) and here's Ivy playing with it. It was the perfect size for her and she walked around all night with it.
Here we are with Addy, Kiersten, Felicity, and Samantha. Ivy looks like one of the dolls, can you find her?

Get to know us
I've been tagged. Thanks, Kath! But I don't think you can tag anyone if you weren't actually tagged yourself! =) Just kidding.
Rules: Answer and re-post the following questions about the man in your life.
Rules: Answer and re-post the following questions about the man in your life.
What is his full name? Jacob Scott Nielsen
How long have you been married? 2 years, 2 months, and 3 days
How long did you date? Hmm...we were friends before my mission and when I got home we started dating "casually" (we dated other people) for 3 or 4 months then we dated seriously for four more months before we got engaged. So a total of eight months.
Who eats more sweets? I probably eat more candy than Jake but he can down a dozen homemade cookies without blinking! And I'm not exaggerating.
Who said I love you first? Jake did. Then I told him a few days later after we went miniature golfing.
How old is he? 27 1/2
Who is taller? Jake by 7 or 8 inches.
Who is smarter? It depends on the subject. Jake's smarter about some things and I'm smarter about others.
Who can sing better? We're probably equal on this. We can carry a tune but that's about it.
Who does the laundry? I do, but Jake helps when I don't feel like doing it. He also folds his garment tops because I hate folding those!
Who pays the bills? We both do.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you're on the bed, Jake does, if you're looking at it, I do.
Who mows the lawn? I do. This is one of my chores and I love doing it! I must get it from my dad.
Who cooks dinner? I usually do but Jakey always helps out. He is an excellent cook! He always makes the rolls on Sunday. He's much better at that than I am. He also makes some mean chocolate chip cookies.
Who drives? We both do. But even Jake would admit that I'm the better driver! =)
Who is more stubborn? Me, hands down. Jake doesn't have a stubborn bone in his body.
Who kissed who first? Jake kissed me after a few months of hints and teasing from me!
Who asked who out? I asked Jake out. I needed a date for New Year's Eve 2005 and he drove down to Salt Lake from Logan for it. (I later found out that he had other plans but changed them to go out with me. How sweet!)
Who proposed? My aunt Lori. Hahaha, long story. Jake officially proposed Aug. 27th, 2005. I had a dream a few months earlier that he sent me a ring in the mail to make sure I was surprised and I told him about that dream. He put my ring in a box like it was mailed to my house and after a really fun summer day full of mountain biking, tennis, eating out, and homemade ice cream he took me out on the front porch to talk. My mom came out and handed me a box that looked like it was sent from my companion Becky. I started opening it up real fast 'cause I love getting fun things in the mail! I didn't realize what was going on until I got to the little black box and opened it up and saw my ring! I was so surprised and I just kept asking Jake, "How did you do that?" 'cause I was sure he wasn't going to be able to surprise me. He told me he wanted to make all my dreams come true and proposed to me. It was so sweet!
Who has more siblings? I do, I have 4 and Jake has 3.
Who wears the pants? Depends on the day!
I tag Jenny, Audrey, Margi, Tawni, and Tanya
If you have already done this one than no need to do it again. Or if you are "tagged" out and sick of doing them than I totally understand I know that your Men in your life are great. Have fun!
