Happy Father's Day, Jakey!

We had a fun Father's Day! We didn't start off with breakfast in bed because I had an early morning meeting. I decided to do brunch in bed instead. So I left a menu on Jake's pillow that he had to fill out and hang on the door (you know, like room service at a hotel). He got Bridger ready for church and they wore new ties. I wanted them to match but couldn't find some that matched exactly. Oh well, they still looked great!

After church I made Jake's brunch and told him to go lie down in bed so I could bring it up to him. Bridger wanted to eat in bed too but it was a bad idea. I love this picture where he's going crazy and Jake is trying not to spill the drinks all over the bed!

Yummy brunch in bed! Jake chose pancakes, scrambled eggs, apple sauce, chocolate milk, apple juice, and peanut butter m&ms for dessert.

After we all took a nice nap we opened Jake's presents. He got a hat from Bridger that says "#1 Dad" on it, some new garments, and a cute picture book about him and Bridger.

He loved the book!

We went to my mom and dad's for dinner. We had fun giving Grandpa Jimmy his present. We made him a shirt that has a picture of him and Bridger making their bread. Their company is called Grandpa Bridger Bread Company and the bread they make is delicious!

My mom made my dad a cute picture book with all the grand kids in it. It's already outdated since Joshua was born so we'll have to make another one soon.

We didn't get to see Jake's dad, Craig, 'cause he was in Indiana helping Lynnadele get ready for the move. We'll have to celebrate with him later. We are grateful for our dads and hope they had a wonderful Father's Day too!

Lagoon

On June 5th, we went to Lagoon with my cousin, Scooter, his wife, Michelle, and Jake's work buddy, Russ and his wife, Emily. They got free tickets from work for making their sales goal that month. We got there at lunch time and ate lunch with everyone.

We had a yummy lunch from Quiznos.

We weren't sure if Bridger would be big enough to go on any rides with us but I looked on the internet before we left and found out he could go on a bunch of rides as long as he was with a "responsible adult." So we started off on jumping dragon. This ride goes around in circles and up and down hills. It starts out going forward and then slows down and changes directions. We didn't know what Bridger would think of this ride but he loved it! It went faster than we thought but he was a champ! I probably shouldn't have been on it since I'm pregnant but I wanted to see Bridger's reaction. I think he was the littlest kid on the ride.

Then we went on one called OdySea. I think this was Bridger's favorite. It went around in a circle and you could make your fish go up and down. I didn't go on this one 'cause you get wet but Bridger and Jake didn't mind a bit!

Bridger was even able to go on the Log Ride with us. He loved it but got a little nervous on the big hill!

He loved the Carousel! We also went on the train, on Puff the little Fire Dragon, the Haunted House, Tonhiki (or something like that), and then Tilt-O-Whirl. We had no idea how fast Tilt-O-Whirl went! It didn't look like it would be too bad but it was! Jake and I were laughing so hard and little Bridger just sat there not making a peep. I was really surprised they let little kids on some of those rides! But we loved it!

Bridger and I were about to leave but we decided to take him on the other Haunted House ride. While we were in line he just couldn't fight it anymore and fell asleep. So we hopped out of line and Jake walked us to the car. Jake stayed with the other guys so he could go on some bigger rides. We had such a fun day and Bridger was a trooper! I can't wait until next summer when he can go on some bigger rides by himself.

What we've been up to...

A few weeks ago, we had a short visit from Aunt Misty and Eeva. Bridger and Eeva had fun playing together!

We've been shopping with Brooke and Grandma and Bridger got to ride the carousel. He loved it!

Bridger loves playing the piano with Uncle Brody and Daddy.

We've been to a few Real Salt Lake soccer games. We had so much fun!

We went to Jessie and Jason's wedding. Doesn't Jess look gorgeous?

We got to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa's birthdays.

On Grandma's birthday Bridger surprised Grandma with flowers and balloons.

One Friday, May 28th, Jake didn't have to work so we went to Boondocks with Eliza, Ivy, Grandma, and Grandpa. We had a blast going on the go-carts, eating a yummy dinner, playing the arcade games, playing miniature golf, and watching Jake and Grandpa at the batting cages.

Here's a picture of Bridger playing wac a mole.

The next day we went on a fun little hike with the girls, Brooke, and G & G to the "H" on the mountain.

We went to the cemetery with Cookie and Steve's family the Sunday before Memorial Day. We visited our Grandpa Hart's, Jeremy and David's, and Great Grandma and Grandpa Peterson's graves.

On Memorial Day, we went on a picnic up Parley's Canyon with my Uncle Bruce and his family. Bridger loved going down the slippery slide with Daddy!

After our picnic, we went swimming at Cookie and Steve's. We had such a fun weekend! I wish Jake always had four day weekends so he could play with me and Bridger this much every week!
