Graham's Birthday Party

The day after Graham's birthday we had a little pirate party for him and a few of his friends.
Here's the pirate cake I made for him. It turned out pretty cute and it was really fun to make!
When I was upstairs getting ready Bridger set the table for me. What a good helper!
Jake reluctantly dressed up as the bad pirate that the kids had to fight for the party.
Graham in his pirate shirt that matches the cake. What a cutie!
Bring on the cake and ice cream!
Ethan and Gabi are two of Graham and Bridger's friends that came
And Daxton and Boston are the other friends that came. They're ready for the treasure hunt.
Graham loves blowing out candles! He's really good at it too.
The treasure hunt was a big hit! I just made some little maps that told them where to go around the yard to collect their pirate gear. They got an eye patch, a hat, a compass, a sword and a hook. Once they got all that they had to fight the bad pirate to get to the tresure chest. It was so fun!
Graham found an apple on the ground and was content just walking around and eating it. Silly boy!
The kids fighting Pirate Jake for the booty
After the treasure hunt we just sat around outside eating treats and opening presents. We gave Graham a Little People pirate ship. He loved it (and so did Bridger)!
Here's the treasure chest that held all the kids prizes and candy
Here they are at the end of the day playing with their toys. What a fun party! I hope my little guy stops growing up so fast because I can't handle it. Love you, Graham!

Graham's 2nd Birthday

The Sunday before Graham's birthday we had Craig over for dinner and since he was going to be out of town for Graham's party we had cake and ice cream for him that night. Lynnadele was out of town or else she would have been there too.

Craig and Lynnadele gave Graham these awesome happy birthday glasses and fun light up sucker. They even gave Bridger some too so he didn't feel left out.
Grandpa and Amber
On the morning of Graham's actual birthday I put balloons hanging from his door and he played with those forever. He's so easily entertained.

We had some birthday pancakes for breakfast.

I had a friend's sealing in the Logan temple on Graham's birthday so I drove the kids up there with me since Jake had to go to work. We went to the little zoo to kill some time. Bridger was such a good helper pushing Amber around for me in her stroller.
While I went to the wedding my cousin Tucker's wife, Caitlin, watched the kids for me. To pay them back I took them out to dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant, Cafe Sabor.
I told the waiter that it was Graham's birthday so they all came out and sang to him and gave him some fried ice cream with a candle in it for dessert.
We got home from Logan around 8:00 pm but I still wanted Jake to be able to hang out with the kids so we took them bowling. The boys loved it!

Since Graham's birthday party was the next day I didn't want to make a hug cake. I was saving that for later, so we had strawberry shortcake with Barry, Brooke, and Skyler that night.
Brooke and Skyler gave him an awesome Batman mask and a remot control car.
Doesn't he look cute?
He also got some big dinosaurs, clothes, a soccer ball, and soccer nets from me and Jake
It was about 11:00 at night but the boys had to go out and play soccer with their new soccer nets. It was a fun birthday. The next day was Graham's actual birthday party with his friends.

How can my little Graham be 2 years old already? The time has gone by so fast. Graham has such a fun personality and can make friends with anyone. He is a fiesty, happy, fun-loving little boy and Jake and I are so blessed to be his parents. We love you, Grahamy!!

Bunkbeds

The night we got home from our Yellowstone trip Jake put together the boys' new bunkbeds. We were up pretty late but at least we got it done so Amber can move into the crib. We weren't too excited about Graham transitioning into a big boy bed. He loves his new freedom a little too much and he gets in and out of his new bed over and over until he finally falls asleep around 11:00 pm.
Bridger waiting so patiently
Yay! They're finally finished! The boys helped me pick out their dinosaur bedding at Home Goods. The beds turned out pretty cute.

Graham learned really quickly how to climb up to the top bunk. Somehow even two year olds know that that the top bunk is the cool one. Why is that?
These boys are loving their new beds! It's so fun having two little boys to share a room together.
