IT'S A...

We just found out today that we're having a BOY!! We're SO excited to be getting a little Jakey! I've never seen Jake so proud/excited about anything.

My mom and Brooke were also there for the ultrasound and we were all cheering when we heard it was a boy! It's about time the Jim Hart family got some boy grandkids huh? (Even though the girls are adorable and I would have been perfectly happy with a girl too!)

I've had a feeling all along it was a boy. Well, actually I had a bunch of dreams about the baby and everytime it has been a boy. In one dream I was at the ultrasound and I saw his manly parts! Pretty funny that I was right huh?

Our doctor was 99% sure that it was a boy. He said, "Your baby is sure proud to be a boy! You'll have to teach him some modesty when he arrives!"

After a while he started sucking his thumb during the ultrasound! It was so cute and it made me cry. Here's a little clip of it:

I'm so excited to be a mom and I can't wait for this little guy to come!

Here we are out celebrating afterwards having dessert across the street at Marie Calendar's.

Jake's birthday

Jake's birthday was yesterday (Sept. 4th) and we had a fun day. After we got home from work we went to our cousin Mindy's wedding reception and then had cake and ice cream and opened presents at our house.

Truman, Brooke, Jake, and Barry with their silly party hats on.

Jake about to blow out his birthday candles. We had to light them twice because Jake's a little stinker and he blew them out before we sang Happy Birthday and were able to take pictures.

Everyone enjoying their cake and ice cream.

Jake opening his presents. He got some great gifts--some new tools, a BBQ, a nice shirt and tie, a paper shredder, a tennis outfit, and tennis balls.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday, Babe! You're the best husband in the world and I'm so glad you're mine.

The big move

Jake and I have been living in my parents' basement since Jake got his new job last May. My parents were nice enought to let us live there as long as we needed to. We've been trying to sell our home in Logan but it just wasn't happening so we decided to keep it and rent it out so that we could move out to our own place. We moved a couple weeks ago and that's why I've been so behind on blogging. We are now living in a fun little townhome in Cottonwood Heights. Here are some pictures from our move. They aren't the best but it's all I've got.

My parents came up to Logan to help us load the moving truck Friday night. Jake just wanted to use a truck and trailer but I insisted on renting a truck. It's a good thing we did because we ended up filling the whole thing! Who knows where all that stuff comes from?

Here's a picture of the empty "pit." Granted there are some things we will never miss about that place but all-in-all it was a wonderful home for us and we made lots of fun memories there.

My mom and dad, uncle Scott, and cousins Rob and Scooter came to help us unload the truck Saturday morning. They saved us loads of time and we owe them big time! Thanks, guys!

Here we are after the unloading was finished. Next is the fun part--unpacking and organizing! This was my first big move and I've come to realize that I am about the worse packer and unpacker in the world! Thank goodness for Jake or else nothing would have gotten done. I hope we don't have to move very often!

We are so excited to be living in Salt Lake again close to lots of family and friends! If any of you are ever in the neighborhood please stop by anytime!
