California trip

We had a wonderful trip to California with our family! We left Friday, the 2nd, and stayed that night in St. George. On Saturday we drove straight to Newport Beach to spend the day there.

Bridger fell in love with the beach immediately even though the weather was chilly. He couldn't get enough of playing in the sand and in the water!

Jake took Bridger out into the water and got him soaking wet. Bridger loved it!

On Sunday, the 4th, we spent the day in San Diego at Ty and Kathy's house. We got to meet baby Joshua for the first time. He is a tiny little thing and he's so adorable!

Bridger and BJ got pony boy rides from Grandpa. Josh is still a little too small for this.

Kathy is the cutest mom and she takes such good care of little Josh.

Grandpa and his three (soon to be four) grandsons.

Grandma and Grandpa and all their grandkids.

Our whole family (except Brooke 'cause she's taking the picture).

On Monday we spent the day at the Wild Animal Kingdom. It was a fun place and the kids enjoyed seeing all the wild animals.

Tuesday morning we got up early and drove back to Newport beach to spend the day. We started off at Ruby's Diner where we ran into the rest of the Hart family.

Jessie, Tanner, and Cade buried all the little kids.

Bridger and Madie

Jake dug a big hole and then Gabi and Jessie buried him in it. Bridger saw this as a good opportunity to get his Daddy! He scooter right over to him and threw handfuls of sand in his face. Luckily Jake was wearing his visor so he could block most of it.

Our little family at the beach. It was another cold day and the sun didn't come out until around 4:30 pm. Needless to say, I did not spend much time in the water. I had to wear my sweatshirt the whole time!

On Wednesday we went to Seaworld with Brody and Corine's family, my mom and dad, and Barry. The weather was perfect and we had a great time going to the shows and looking at all the sea animals.

Makenzie, Jake, Bridger, Eliza, and Ivy enjoying the Shamu show. Bridger was more intrigued with the seeing eye dog that was sitting in back of us than he was the big whales.

That night Jake and I drove to Las Vegas and spent the night at his sister Brandy's house and the next day we drove back home. We had such a fun trip! Too bad they always have to go by so fast.

28 weeks and counting...

I can hardly believe I am already 28 weeks along in this pregnancy! The time goes by so much faster with the second pregnancy. If you asked me how far along I was when I was pregnant with Bridger, I could tell you exactly "28 weeks and 5 days" or whatever. With this one people ask me and I have to think about it really hard. I usually just say, "around seven months."

This pregnancy has been even easier than my first one (which was very easy as well). When I was pregnant with Bridger I got some kind of arthritis in my wrists but luckily I haven't had that this time. I am so blessed to have such smooth pregnancies--no morning sickness, no cravings, no getting grossed out by smells, nothing. I guess it just means I will have to have lots of kids. We'll see!

I'm so excited for this little baby to come. I love him so much already and I can't wait to see Bridger and him together! Bridger will be the best big brother and I'm sure they'll be best buddies.

Pres. Monson

One of the many perks of living in Salt Lake City is that you sometimes run into the Prophet at dinner! We went to Little America with Jake's family and while we were eating dinner Pres. Monson was on his way out. He saw the kids at our table and came over to say "hi." The first thing he said when he came to the table was, "Where did that boy get his red hair?" (to Bridger). Braxton and Kobee got to shake his hand and give him high fives. He asked Braxton when his birthday was and when he told him Oct. 7th Pres. Monson told him that date is also he and his wife's wedding anniversary! What a neat opportunity for those boys. They will definitely have something to brag about when they get home.

Here he is talking to Braxton and Kobee

This shot didn't turn out too great but at least I grabbed my camera and took some pictures! It was so fun seeing him in person. I was pretty starstruck. He's the only "celebrity" I would care to meet.
