Yellowstone

Over Labor Day weekend we took a short trip to West Yellowstone with Barry and Brody and Corine's family. We had such a fun time!
We left bright and early Saturday morning and met Brody and Corine for lunch in West Yellowstone.
We stayed in the restaurant just long enough to get a picture and then decided the kids were going to be too crazy so we left for Yellowstone park and ate a little picnic there.
Amber was such a trooper the whole trip! She hardly made a peep in the car the whole ride. She would just smile and stare at me and fall asleep when she got tired. What a cutie!
She also loved hiking around with daddy in her little pack.
Our first stop was Old Faithful. It was a little stormy but it stopped raining just as we got there. Unfortunately I only brought shorts for the boys. I'm lucky I even had jackets for them! I thought it was supposed to be warm. Whoops! But they didn't seem to mind.

I love this picture!
Our little family (that's not so little anymore!)
After Old Faithful we stopped at Midway Geyser Basin and went for a little hike. It was so cool because it was all foggy since it was cold out. Here is Makenzie and Eliza walking through the mist.
Barry at Old Faithful. You can see all the people there. It was SO crowded!
(These next pictures are out of order but I don't want to bother putting them in order)

Hiking around Grand Prismatic Spring
We got to watch an awesome storm come in while we hiked around Foutain Paintpot. It was so beautiful but the weather got cold really fast. Luckily we were finished with our hike so we drove out of the park in a down pour.

These paintpots were so cool! They bubble up and pop and make sounds like a boiling pot of soup.

We saw some Buffalo and Elk while we were there but no Bears
On Sunday we had the most perfect weather ever! Here we are hiking around the Artists Paintpots.

Scott and Lori and their family and Cookie and Steve and their family just happened to be at Yellowstone that weekend too. We met up with them Saturday night for ice cream and then we just happened to bump into them at the Canyon Falls the next day. What are the chances? So we hiked with them and had a fun time visiting.

My two boys
After the Canyon Falls Brody and Corine's family drove out to Jackson Hole area but we stayed in West Yellowstone for another night. We went out to dinner at a fun lodge but Graham was tired and had a meltdown so we were through. We had some ice cream and let him run around outside then left. We stopped at Gibbon Falls on the way out and headed back to our hotel. Poor Barry had to live with three kids for 3 days and had no where to escape! Hopefully we didn't scare him off from having kids.
Back at the hotel the kids played around while Barry and Jake took naps. Of course, I didn't get one.
Little Amber got her first sunburn on our hike. Poor thing.
For the rest of the night we just took the boys to play at the park and walked around town. It was a gorgeous evening!

Silly Graham
Then we got pizza to go and had a little pizza party at our hotel breakfast area
Graham slept on a cushion we brought him but slid off of it in the nighttime. Somehow it didn't wake him up!
Bridger got to share a bed with Barry

Amber slept in her little pack 'n' play and was such a great traveler! It was such a fun little getaway.

Kiddos

Will I ever be able to get a picture of all three kids looking at the camera? I doubt it. Just blend these next few pictures together in your mind and you'll get a good picture of each kid. I guess I better learn Photoshop. Anyway, they sure are cute. I love these little kids!!

Cousins' sleepover

We had a sleepover with my nieces and nephew on Friday night. It was a blast! Jake watched the boys while the girls and I went shopping and picked out new dresses and school outfits.

The boys loved to wrestle each other on the foam mattress!

Eliza ready for bed
Cute Ivy
We watched Hello Dolly since my nieces hadn't ever seen it before. They loved it (even though they don't look too thrilled here)!

Ready for bed. Bridger had to sleep downstairs with the big kids, of course.
The next day we finished watching our movie, did waterfall braids, ladybug pedicures, and makeovers. The girls wanted "the works" so I really did them up and they looked so grown up.
Pretty girl cousins!
Bridger wanted to show his nice hair too whenever I took a picture of the girls' hair.
Eliza's waterfall braid.

We had such a fun time! It has been so much fun having these girls and BJ live next door. I love them so much!

July Update

July has been such a fun month! Here's what we've been up to:
Hanging out at the pond in Park City
Me and my boys (that won't ever smile at the camera)
Craig's birthday is July 3rd so we had him and Lynnadele over for dinner the Sunday before.

We hung out at the condo in Park City on the 3rd and 4th of July. We had a BBQ and swimming party with Brody and Corine's family and Barry on the 4th and fed the ducks at the pond.

We went to the Real soccer game that night with Cookie since Madie and Steve were out of town.
We got to watch a fun game and they did an awesome fireworks show afterwards.

On the 24th of July we went to a picnic up at Brighton with the Harts for breakfast. Baby Amber has been growing up too fast. Here she is enjoying the mountain air!
Some of the little cousins posing for a picture.

Madie and Graham
Bridger got a little cut on his finger and he was so worried about it. Suzy saved the day by making him a bandaid out of gauze and medical tape. Silly boy! The rest of the day we spent out at Craig and Lynnadele's and we had a delicious BBQ with them. Then we went to Lori and Scott's to watch some fireworks. It was a fun day!
