Bridger starts Preschool at Miss Dana's

Bridger started preschool this year at Miss Dana's (just down the street). She's his Nursery teacher too. He was so excited even though he doesn't look too happy in these pictures.
Where's Bridger?
Very nice fake smile

Here's Bridger and his little friend Aislyn
There goes my big boy off to school! I always thought it was funny when moms cried when their kids went to school. Granted I didn't cry but now I understand why they do. It's hard to watch your little baby become a toddler then a big kid and pretty soon a teenager and grown up. Don't grow up too fast, my sweet little bud!
He got to paint the back of this bag and keep it for his bookbag. So fun! I want to be in preschool.
Yay! He made it through his first day without a hitch. I don't even think he noticed I was gone.

Bridger's 1st Piano Lesson

Bridger started piano lessons today! Corine had an opening in her schedule and asked me if I wanted her to start teaching him. Of course I said "Yes" and couldn't wait to have him start playing!
 He was so excited!

Corine is such a great teacher!
Here they are at the end of lesson. Bridger did a great job! Amber and Graham came too. Graham wanted to start his own lessons since he wants to do everything his big brother does. And Corine already called dibbs on teaching Amber the violin when she gets big enough. How fun!

Yellowstone

Over Labor Day weekend we took a short trip to West Yellowstone with Barry and Brody and Corine's family. We had such a fun time!
We left bright and early Saturday morning and met Brody and Corine for lunch in West Yellowstone.
We stayed in the restaurant just long enough to get a picture and then decided the kids were going to be too crazy so we left for Yellowstone park and ate a little picnic there.
Amber was such a trooper the whole trip! She hardly made a peep in the car the whole ride. She would just smile and stare at me and fall asleep when she got tired. What a cutie!
She also loved hiking around with daddy in her little pack.
Our first stop was Old Faithful. It was a little stormy but it stopped raining just as we got there. Unfortunately I only brought shorts for the boys. I'm lucky I even had jackets for them! I thought it was supposed to be warm. Whoops! But they didn't seem to mind.

I love this picture!
Our little family (that's not so little anymore!)
After Old Faithful we stopped at Midway Geyser Basin and went for a little hike. It was so cool because it was all foggy since it was cold out. Here is Makenzie and Eliza walking through the mist.
Barry at Old Faithful. You can see all the people there. It was SO crowded!
(These next pictures are out of order but I don't want to bother putting them in order)

Hiking around Grand Prismatic Spring
We got to watch an awesome storm come in while we hiked around Foutain Paintpot. It was so beautiful but the weather got cold really fast. Luckily we were finished with our hike so we drove out of the park in a down pour.

These paintpots were so cool! They bubble up and pop and make sounds like a boiling pot of soup.

We saw some Buffalo and Elk while we were there but no Bears
On Sunday we had the most perfect weather ever! Here we are hiking around the Artists Paintpots.

Scott and Lori and their family and Cookie and Steve and their family just happened to be at Yellowstone that weekend too. We met up with them Saturday night for ice cream and then we just happened to bump into them at the Canyon Falls the next day. What are the chances? So we hiked with them and had a fun time visiting.

My two boys
After the Canyon Falls Brody and Corine's family drove out to Jackson Hole area but we stayed in West Yellowstone for another night. We went out to dinner at a fun lodge but Graham was tired and had a meltdown so we were through. We had some ice cream and let him run around outside then left. We stopped at Gibbon Falls on the way out and headed back to our hotel. Poor Barry had to live with three kids for 3 days and had no where to escape! Hopefully we didn't scare him off from having kids.
Back at the hotel the kids played around while Barry and Jake took naps. Of course, I didn't get one.
Little Amber got her first sunburn on our hike. Poor thing.
For the rest of the night we just took the boys to play at the park and walked around town. It was a gorgeous evening!

Silly Graham
Then we got pizza to go and had a little pizza party at our hotel breakfast area
Graham slept on a cushion we brought him but slid off of it in the nighttime. Somehow it didn't wake him up!
Bridger got to share a bed with Barry

Amber slept in her little pack 'n' play and was such a great traveler! It was such a fun little getaway.
