New house

We bought a house!! We closed on it Aug. 22nd right after I got home from Brazil. It's in Sandy, not far from our old townhouse in Cottonwood Heights and only 15-18 minutes from my parents' house (I timed it).
The back yard has a nice deck and a hot tub which I never thought I wanted but will be fun to have.
This is a little room off the kitchen. We'll take that wall that Jake is pointing at down so it'll be open to the family room and we'll redo the ugly fireplace.

Here's the kitchen. Not a ton of work needs to be done in there but we want to add a nice backsplash, new floor, new paint, new lights, new faucet, new cabinet knobs and new appliances. Okay, so maybe it does sound like a lot of work.
The basement just needs new carpet and paint.

 Laundry room/mudroom
Grandma Donna came over one day with us and we had a picnic on the floor
Ty and Kathy were in town too so they came over to see the house

Downstairs room. Luckily it's the only room with wallpaper that will have to come down.
This is the dining room but I don't want a formal dining room so I'll use it as a living room/music room

Cookie and Zach and Rob and Ali came by one night to see it and of course Zach had a wrestling match with the kids.
The night we closed on the house we went and got slurpees to celebrate. (We go all out around here!)
 Cheers!

We're so excited to have our own place to fix up and move into! I'll post more pictures of the house when it's fixed up.

Amber's 1 year pictures

How can my little baby girl be a year already?! It seems like we were just taking her newborn pictures. My cousin, Jenny, took her pictures again for me. Amber is the sweetest baby that has ever exisited! She always has a smile on her face, is so easy to please, and is the most cuddly little thing. She is a gem and we are so grateful to have her in our family!

Oh, I'll eat this little girl up for dinner!

Amber's 1st birthday

Amber's birthday started off with opening a present from Grandma Donna in our bed.
It was a little dolly and she loved it!
It was also Easter Sunday so it seemed appropriate to make a bunny cake.
Bridger searching for his Easter basket
 He found it!
Look at all the candy the Easter bunny brought him!

Amber loved the peeps, just like her mommy.
Graham was excited to find his basket too!
Ready for church. Amber's looked so darling in her Easter dress!
After church we had family over for dinner, ate cake and ice cream, and opened presents.
I think she liked it!

Amber is the most wonderful little girl in the world! She is perfect in every way and we couldn't have asked for a better baby. We love you so much, Amber! And we're so grateful you belong to our family.

Heber Creeper Easter Train

Graham has really been loving train rides lately so the day before Easter we went on the Heber Creeper with Grandma Donna and Barry. It was a lot of fun!
 The Easter Bunny was there

They played fun music on the ride and the Easter Bunny came around and passed out eggs to everyone.

They even had a little petting zoo of baby animals. The kids loved it!

Grandma Donna's Easter Egg Hunt

Grandma Donna has an Easter Egg hunt at her house each year (starting last year) where she invites all the great grandkids over for a party. She is the coolest Grandma ever and the kids had such a blast!
 Zoe, Mindi, and Jenny
 Makenzie, Eliza, and Amber
The hunt is about to start. The kids can hardly wait!

St. Patrick's Day

On St. Patrick's Day we woke up to find a Leprachaun had used our potty! The boys thought it was hilarious.
Daddy made a green breakfast for us.
Then we found some leprachaun footprints and followed them on a scavenger hunt.
They found the treasure and got rainbow candies, gold coins, and toys. Lucky boys!
St. Patrick's Day was on a Sunday this year so we all wore green to church and had a green dinner. It was so fun!
