24th of July

We had a great 24th of July! Jake wasn't able to get work off unfortunately but Bridger and I went up the canyons for breakfast with the Harts. It was a beautiful morning and Bridger loved being outside!

Later on that night we were able to go to the Real soccer game with Cookie and Steve. It was a great game! Real beat Dallas 4-2. After the game they set off fireworks and Bridger didn't even flinch. He loved it!

Bridger's first solid food

Bridger has started eating solids. He liked it much more than I expected he would! Here's a video clip and some pictures of his first taste:

Jake has been so excited to start Bridger on solids so he can feed him!

Mommy and Bridger

We fed him for the first time at Grandma and Grandpa Hart's 'cause they wanted to feed him too. Here's Grandpa Jimmy giving him a spoonful of mush!

Bridger loves sitting up at the table with us now at dinnertime! What a cutie!

4th of July

We got to go visit Jake's sister Misty up in Idaho Falls over the Fourth of July with Craig and Lynnadele. Misty and Vernon bought a house and recently moved there. Jake has always bragged about the great fireworks show they put on up there and he wasn't kidding! It was amazing and fun for me to see 'cause I'm usually at Newport beach on the 4th and they don't let off many fireworks down there. I thought Bridger might be scared of the noise but he loved it!

Bridger's Fourth of July outfit. My mom got him the outfit and Misty found that cute little baseball cap for him. Thanks, Mis!

Daddy and Bridger enjoying the fireworks show!

Bridger was mesmerized by the fireworks! I had to plug my ears half the time but he didn't mind the noise at all.

We also got to celebrate Misty's birthday on the 5th. She was a great host and we had a wonderful weekend visiting her! Thanks for the great time, Misty!

Bridger meets his Great Grandpa Lowe

On our way up to Idaho Falls we stopped by to see Bridger's Great Grandpa Lowe (Lynnadele's dad). We had a nice visit with him and Bridger loved seeing the cows that live next door!

I love how Bridger opens his mouth as wide as he can when he smiles! Jake is throwing him up in the air here and he loved it!

Nielsen's visit

We had a great time having Jake's parents stay with us for a few days at the beginning of July! We went up the canyons for a picnic, went to the Oquirrh temple open house, celebrated Craig's birthday, and just spent time together. Lynnadele and Craig were happy to see Bridger again and Bridger was SO excited to spend time with his grandparents!

Here we are up Millcreek Canyon having a picnic

New Playset at Grandpa Jimmy's

We told my dad now that he has a grandson he needed to get some boy toys around the house and this is what he came up with:

They bought this playset from Costco and it took my dad, Barry, and Jake about four nights to put together. It was a lot of work but it turned out great!

Just relaxing on the swing!

The girls didn't know about it so when they came over after it was finished my mom and dad blindfolded them and took them out back to see it.

Here's all the Hart grandkids with Grandma Laurel. They love playing on their new playset!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a fun time celebrating Jake's first Father's Day. It started off with an early breakfast in bed.

Then Bridger woke up to wish his daddy a Happy Father's Day!

Then he gave Jakey his present which was a t-shirt with a picture of them on it.

Jake was so proud of his new shirt. I didn't even have to force him to wear it.

I got Jake some new biking shorts so he can mountain bike in style (and comfort).

We went to Grandpa Jimmy's for dinner and wished him a happy Father's Day too.

We didn't get to see Jake's dad but we did wish him a Happy Father's day over the phone. This is a cute picture from when he visited us in March.

Happy Father's Day, Jake! You're the best daddy to our little guy. I couldn't have asked for anyone better! We both love you SOOOOOOO much!

Bridger can roll over!

This morning while Bridger was having some tummy time he got fed up with being on his stomach and rolled himself over. When I kept putting him on his tummy he would just push himself back over. He's getting too big! Here's a little video clip of it:
