Baby #2

We just found out today that we're having another BOY!! Yay! Bridger is going to have a baby brother to play with. I couldn't be happier. I always did want to have two of the same sex in a row (more than two in a row, that's another story!). I thought it was going to be a boy again because I had a couple of dreams right before the ultrasound and the babies were always boys. I also thought this because we don't have ANY boy names picked out but we had a definite girl name. Dang! Any suggestions on boy names that you won't mind me using would be appreciated. I'll try to post some pictures or video of the ultrasound soon.

Time to go private

I got some weird comments recently from a user I don't know so I'm going to make my blog private. Leave me your email address if you'd like to be invited to look at our blog. I'll wait about a week before I send emails to everyone. Thanks!

Happy Easter!

We had fun dying Easter eggs together Saturday morning before conference. Bridger wanted to help so bad but I could see a disaster waiting to happen if I let him so he just had to sit and watch.

Mommy and Bridger

The Easter Bunny hides our whole basket at our house. I always try to think of hard places to hide Jake's basket so he can't find it all day. This year I had a great plan...I hid his basket at the bottom of the laundry basket and put the dirty clothes over it (pretty gross, I know). Unfortunately, while he was hiding my basket he had the same great idea and found his basket right away--the little stinker!

It was great having General Conference fall on Easter Sunday! I love conference and it was a perfect time to reflect on the Gospel and our Savior.

Jake had a hard time staying awake but that didn't stop Bridger from playing with him.

Bridger's Easter Basket. His favorite candy was the Sour Patch Kids.

Later on we went to my parents' house to watch more conference and eat a yummy meal! Then we visited Grandpa Nielsen and took him an Easter basket. Later that night we went to Grandma Donna's for a FHE about conference. It's always my favorite FHE of the year!

Sledding in April

We've had some crazy weather here this April! We woke up to a few inches of snow on April Fools day. Heavenly Father likes to play tricks too it looks like. Bridger and I decided to do a little sledding for the last time of the season. We didn't have a sled so my dad just pulled him around in this plastic pool. Bridger loved it! The snow is great but hopefully Spring will decide to grace us with her presence sometime soon.

Some fun news...

Bridger is going to be a BIG BROTHER!! Yay! We found out during the week we were babysitting our neighbor's six kids! That whole week I kept telling Jake we're not having anymore kids since it was so crazy with six. Well, Heavenly Father had other plans. It seemed like he was laughing in Heaven when I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! Of course, I couldn't be happier! It will be so fun to have Bridger and this baby so close together. I'm due Sept. 29th so they'll be about 19 months apart. Here's a picture of Bridger right after I told him the fun news:

Doesn't he look excited? He's going to be a wonderful big brother.

Right after I found out I went out to lunch with some of my girl cousins. I promised myself I wouldn't tell them but of course the subject of having babies came up and I said, "Speaking of having babies, I just had a positive pregnancy test!" They all laughed 'cause I couldn't keep the secret for more than half and hour! I told them I was on my way to tell Jake so I needed some ideas. Bridger and I stopped at the store and got some balloons and a poster and markers and then went to Jake's work to surprise him.

We wrote this little poem and had Jake come meet us out in the car. Jake was SO excited!

Bridger told his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins by wearing this t-shirt. What a cutie!

St. George

On our way home from Las Vegas we spent the night in St. George at my Aunt and Uncle's condo. Jake took Monday off from work and we had a fun time hanging out all day together. We spent the day going on a walk, playing tennis, taking naps, having a picnic, and swimming. The weather was beautiful! I wish every Monday could be this fun!

We put Bridger in his playpen while we played some tennis--later we got in trouble for it by the condo Nazi.

Bridger in his new swimsuit, excited to go swimming.

Having fun swimming with Daddy!

Bridger LOVED swimming! I wasn't surprised because he loves splashing around in the bath. We had so much fun watching him kick and splash around!

McKoy's blessing

Our newest nephew, McKoy, was blessed on March 28th. We made a quick trip down to Las Vegas to be there for it. We got there late Saturday night and had to leave Sunday night so we didn't have a whole lot of time to hang out with everyone but we had fun. Jake's mom and dad, his sister, Misty, and her baby, Eeva, were all there. Brandy and James were great hosts as always and we had a great time being with them and their family!

Birthday Fun!

I had a wonderful birthday this year! Actually, a wonderful birth month (I like to milk it for all it's worth). Jake had Young Mens on my actual birthday so he had a surprise for me the weekend before to celebrate. He took me to a nice dinner and then we stayed over at a hotel downtown while Bridger had a sleepover at my parents' house. It was a lot of fun!

On my birthday I just hung out with Bridger all morning and then that evening we went over to my mom and dad's for dinner, cake & ice cream, and presents. Corine and the girls and BJ came over and so did Blaine, Lori, and Weston. I was spoiled!

Look at all those candles! Yikes!

Brooke gave me lots of cute jewelry and the cutest picture album with pictures of us since we were just kids! It was so nice of her. My parents gave me that cute family home evening board, some decorative plates with a rack to put up in my kitchen, an ice cream maker, and some clothes.

Makenzie made me this beautiful necklace! It matched my sweater perfectly! What a sweetheart!

Eliza couldn't wait to give me her present but she also wanted me to open hers last. She also made me a beautiful necklace that is purple and yellow with a pink star in the middle. It is so cute!

Since we didn't get to go out to dinner on my birthday we decided to go out to breakfast the next day. We went to Little America and had a delicious meal!

Thanks for the great birthday everyone!
