Laurel's art show at the Governor's mansion
Yesterday we got to go to my mom's art show at the governor's mansion. Gov. Huntsman invited her to do her own show there to thank her for the paintings she had given him and his family. We found out that this has never been done before so it was a great honor for my mom. Governor Huntsman was there and gave a very nice little speech. He said some wonderful things about my mom and her artwork. He seems like a really great person. Then my mom got to speak for a minute and she also did an excellent job. We had a great time visiting, looking at the paintings, and eating the yummy food! Thanks to all of you who came and supported us!

Your mom does such beautiful paintings, anyone with the painting talent is amazing to me because I can do good stick figures...haha!

Seriously your mom is so amazing! I went home and went to her website and am now Offically OBSESSED with her art! Can you steal of few prints for me? :) Just jokin! But it was really cool and your mom is an awesome painter. PS-- I hear that you are really good at painting too. I want to see some of your pics!
I bet I could get millions for the painting she did for me and McKay now that she is so famous!!! But it's worth a million to us so we would never do that!
That is awesome. I'm sorry we missed it. We were out of town. But I plan on making up one day to see some of her art during the viewing hours. Your mom is so talented.
