I had this cute plan of telling Jake that we were pregnant on Father's day but I couldn't keep the secret to myself. Right after I got a positive test I ran downstairs where he was exercising and showed him the test. This is a picture of Jake on Father's Day when I gave him the baby Utah State t-shirt to tell him it's his last childless Father's Day. He is so excited!
We told my parents we were expecting by putting up this poster on the tennis court right before we went over to play doubles with them. We had to be very sneaky because my dad was right next door in the garden while we were putting this up and if he looked over we would have been caught! Good thing he was so preoccupied with his new irrigation pipes.
We did a little treasure hunt with clues and candy bars for the girls to tell them they're getting a new cousin. The last clue said, "Jake and Britt are having a 'Sugar Baby'!" Makenzie just kept saying, "Really? For real? You're not joking?" I think they've waited so long for a cousin on this side that it's hard to believe. Makenzie thinks it's a boy and we should name him Tom and Eliza thinks it's a girl and we should name her Sunshine!
The girls helped make these cupcakes so when Corine and Brody came to pick them up we had them unscramble them to tell them they're getting a new cousin.
Our nephews on Jake's side don't have any cousins so we had these t-shirts made and sent to them.
We sent these picture frames with the ultrasound to Jake's parents in Indiana. Jake told them we were having a baby over the phone before we sent these so they knew already.
We are so excited for our little baby to come! Jake wants a boy but I know he would LOVE a little girl and I don't really care either way just as long as we get a healthy little baby.

Oh man am I so excited for you guys. That is so cool. I can only imagine what Jake was feeling when he found out he was a dad. I'm sure he was stoked, well still is stoked. I'm glad that you are in SLC now. We'll have to do more things when I get home. That is if you're not too tied down by then. Congrats again you two. I've got my money on a boy. Three girls are nice and all but they need a boy to tease them a little bit and keep them in line.

I'm so excited for you guys! Being a mother is so much fun, I really do love it. And Chad is even loving being a father to a girl. (He really wanted a boy, too). But he just loves his little girl and always comments how cute she is. So congrats! I can't wait to see you guys, let's get together sometime soon. Chad and I are in SL a lot. Plus, Jake's jacket is still at my mom's, she keeps reminding me :)

You guys went all out to tell the family! We just called our parents and siblings and told them to look at our blog, where we had pictures. But I am going to hope for a girl because then Daphne will have lots of friends to play with!
Hi! I just saw your blog through Misty's. We grew up 2 houses down from each other in Idaho Falls. Just thought I'd say congrats to you guys! Our baby is due just about a week earlier. HOW FUN!
The boys love their shirts! They wore them all together when we went out to visit Grandma and Papa. We voted for a boy too! Jakey needs someone to wrestle with. And, I'll tell ya, BOYS are really good at that. We can't wait to find out what it is!
Jake , congrats on the baby. As you knbow I'm always betting girls. Shalee has a 9month old girl named Keylee and Shalyce a 6month old named Kelty. They are expecting another one in ?March. Her hubby will be in Korea and they will live with us. Hope all is going well for you as always I think your the best and keep up that great smile,love Robyn H
