San Diego

We had a wonderful trip to San Diego with the our Smith family last weekend! Tyler had a great idea to have a plaque made for Grandpa Smith to be put up on Mt. Soledad in San Diego to honor his service in WWII. All the family pitched in to buy it and we told Grandpa about it last Christmas. On June 13th we had a ceremony for Grandpa and unveiled the plaque. All of my mom's siblings got to be there and a bunch of us grandkids came too. My Grandpa built the San Diego temple so his plaque over looks it. We all got to go to the temple together too. It was a special weekend for our family. Here are some pictures from the trip:

Bridger in his new swimsuit, watershoes, and hat ready to go to San Diego!

This is a picture of us on the plane ride down. I was worried about flying with a baby but Bridger was just perfect both ways!

Bridger enjoying the ride!

Here we are at Mt. Soledad looking at Grandpa's plaque. It turned out to be beautiful!

A close up of Grandpa's plaque.

Tyler is giving Grandpa his POW medal. Doesn't he look great in his Marine outfit?

Our family at Mt. Soledad. We had everyone there except the girls.

Kathy got to meet Bridger finally!

Bridger has a marine cut just like his uncle Tyler. Don't they look like twins?

We had a wonderful trip and Ty and Kathy were great hosts! Thanks for the great time!

Well, I guess we just missed you guys by a couple of days. We just got home from San Diego tonight. I am glad we weren't both there the same weekend without knowing it! That would have been sad. Glad you had a fun trip.
