3rd Anniversary

Jake and I celebrated our third anniversary this year! I can't believe how fast time goes by. We celebrated with our family which was fun. Ty and Kathy were in town so we went out to a movie (Marley and Me) with them, my mom and dad, and Brooke and then went to dinner at Archibald's. It was a fun day. Jake is the best husband and I love him so much! I can't wait to start our little family together soon. He will be a wonderful dad!

Christmas Eve at Grandma Hart's

We love going to Grandma Hart's on Christmas Eve to act out the Christmas Story and sing lots of Christmas songs! This year was so much fun 'cause we had a big group including most of Wayne and Elaine's family. Below are some pictures of the actors in the play and the performers on the musical program.

Friend Shower

My sweet friends that I've had forever threw me a baby shower a few weeks ago. Laura had it at her apartment and made a delicious dinner for us. We had a fun time eating, catching up, opening presents, and laughing 'til it hurt. Thanks for the great time, girls!

Here's everyone that came. Unfortunately my big head is blocking Cathy's face but this was the only group picture we took. Back row: Laura, Cathy, Haylee, Brooke, and Riley. Front row: Britt and Lexi

The Baby's Room

Well, we finally got our glider picked up and moved into the baby's room. The room is pretty much finished now. All we need to do is hang up the valance over the window and finish decorating the walls. It's so fun to sit in the glider and just wait for the little guy to get here. We are very excited! Below are some pictures of the glider, the baby bedding we picked out, and a little video tour of the room.

LynnAdele's Visit

Jake and I love when LynnAdele comes to visit her dad in Idaho because that means we get a visit from her too! She got to stay with us Saturday and Sunday last week and then the next Saturday night and Sunday after visiting her dad. We had a great time and wished she could have stayed longer.

The first weekend we had fun going out to dinner and looking at Christmas lights.

This was our yummy dessert at Red Robin. Jake and I had never been there before and we're glad LynnAdele helped us branch out from our usual restaurants.

Jake's favorite Christmas candy is his mom's Divinity so he made sure that she taught him how to make it this year. It was delicious!

The second Sunday we went down to hear the Tabernacle Choir's Music and the Spoken Word. The conference center was decorated so beautifully for Christmas and the music was amazing! We sure had a fun time having LynnAdele here.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Grandma Hart's with Suzy and Whit's family. We had an excellent dinner and a fun time visiting! For some reason I didn't take any pictures on that day (probably because I was too tired from all the turkey) but I do have pictures from our party we had the Saturday before Thanksgiving at Scott and Lori's house.

Who is farther along--Kyle or Brittney? Kyle is pregnant with his Thanksgiving dinner.

Jake, Steve, and Grandma relaxing after their meal.

Suzy, Laurel, and Cookie enjoying the delicious food they made.

Zach, Rob, Kyle, and Scott probably texting Parker and teasing him about the BYU vs. Utah game. Parker is a Y fan and knew better than to come over to Scott's to watch the game.

Some of the girl cousins. Brooke, Britt, Ali, Gabi, Madie, Mindi, and Megan

Me and Brooke

Twinner cousins having babies a month apart. Amy actually had her baby boy the next week. I still have a ways to go! (51 days but who's counting?)

Jake's Vending Machines

Jake has had this life long dream of owning vending machines. A few months ago while I was looking around KSL.com for baby stuff, I saw that people were selling used vending machines. I told Jake about it and he bought two of them to put in at his work--one is a soda machine and the other is a snack machine. They were a real pain to move in (not that I helped much) but thanks to our cousins Weston and Truman they were successfully put in. Jake has loved taking care of them so far and soon he'll even make a profit off of them.

Tour of our apartment

For those of you who live too far away to come visit, I'm posting these pictures for you. I've been meaning to put them on here since we got settled in our new place. As for the rest of you, I expect you to come over and visit!

Here's our little townhome from the outside. This was a few weeks ago. Now the tree is bare and the grass is dying.

This is our front room. I bought this whole family room set off KSL.com and got a steal of a deal! At least, I thought it was a good deal. Jake might think otherwise...

When you turn the corner from the family room you enter the dining room.

And here's our kitchen. Our favorite thing about it is that it has a dishwasher!

This is the upstairs bathroom (the only one clean enough to take pictures of!)

And here is the master bedroom. Jake's favorite thing about it is that it has a walk in closet and he can fit all his clothes in there. My favorite thing is the balcony going off it! We have a great view of the city. Check it out:

And finally the best room of the house...the baby's room. I had the week off of work while my dad was in Israel so Jake and I painted the room and got the furniture somewhat situated for FHE last Monday. We are still waiting for our glider to come and we need to buy some bedding but other than that we are almost finished with it.

Here's Jake taking a break from the hard work of painting and putting up the chair rail.

Here's our crib all set up. We got this at a furniture factory that is going out of business down in Orem for 70% off. (If anyone needs baby furniture right now, call me and I'll give you the information to this factory.)

This is the changing table we bought and below is the book shelf we got. (Also from the factory going out of business.)

We will keep you posted on the baby's room once it's all finished and decorated. I think it's one of the funnest things to do to get ready for a baby. Hope you enjoyed the tour!
