My friend Emily did this on her blog and I thought it would be fun so I copied her.
Day we found out we were pregnant: June 11th. I had been out to dinner with my friends the night before and I told Margi some "symptoms" I was having. She said she thought I was pregnant and I should definitely take a test. So the next morning I couldn't sleep and finally got up around 5:00am. We were living in my parents' basement at the time so I went upstairs and took a pregnancy test. It immediately turned positive! Jake was running on the treadmill downstairs and since it was a few days before Father's Day I wanted to wait to tell him then but I couldn't keep it in! So I told him I had a surprise for him and showed him the positive test. We were both in shock and didn't believe it at first since we'd been trying to get pregnant for a while. But, of course, we were SO excited!
First doctor's appointment: June 24th. My Doctor did an ultrasound just to make sure I was really pregnant. We got to see our cute little baby and hear its heartbeat. That was when we started to believe that this was actually happening to us.
When we told family: We were trying to wait until after our first Doctor's appointment until we told our family but my sister, Brooke, told me a week after we found out that she had a dream I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! So I just laughed and took her downstairs to show her the positive test. She was the first to know. Then we told my parents right after our first Doctor's appointment and Jake told his parents over the phone and we told our siblings a short time later.
When we told everyone else: Once we were past our first trimester
When we found out the sex of the baby: Sept. 8th. This was definitely my favorite Doctor's appointment. Jake and I couldn't wait to find out what it was! I had only dreamt about boy babies and I just had a feeling we were having a boy. I even dreamt about being at the ultrasound and seeing the little penis! Jake said all along we were having a boy but that's just because that's what he wanted. When the nurse was asking us what we thought it was before she told us I said, "I'd be really surprised if it was a girl!" And we were right all along. We had a perfect view of his parts and she said she was 99% sure it was a boy. Brooke and my mom were there with us and we were all so excited! He is the first grandson on my side of the family.
Health this pregnancy: Now I don't want to brag but I have had the greatest pregnancy ever! I haven't thrown up once or felt nauseous at all. I think that was another reason it was hard to believe at first. I wouldn't even know I was pregnant except for the fact that I am getting huge and feeling the little guy move all over the place. The only thing I could complain about is that I've had carpel tunnel syndrome in my right wrist the whole time and that hasn't been very fun.
First time I felt movement: This took a while for me. I thought I felt butterfly movements around 17 weeks but I didn't really feel him move again until 20 weeks or so.
Names we like: Deciding on a name has been harder than I thought it would be. Jake and I both like the name Bridger so that's what he'll probably end up being named. As for the middle name, we're still deciding.
Cravings: I haven't craved a thing my whole pregnancy and there's nothing that made me sick to eat either. I did eat a lot of frosted shredded wheat cereal and I liked salty things too but other than that I didn't have any weird cravings.
How have my emotions been?: I was definitely more emotional when I wasn't pregnant. I couldn't be happier! I'm sure Jake can think of some times I've been emotional but he says for the most part I've been level-headed.
Nesting?: Don't ask Jake about this! He has banned me from buying furniture for 5 years because I had to get new couches, a new headboard and footboard for our bed, and all the baby furniture for the nursery. I would have kept going too if he didn't stop me! I do clean up the house quite a bit but I'm sure it'll get worse when my due date gets closer.
When did you start to show?: Just after 5 months. A cute lady at a restaurant asked me when I was due and that was the first time someone actually noticed I was pregnant without me telling them.
How has the husband been through it all?: Jake has been amazing, as he always is! He gives me back massages whenever I need one, he cooks and cleans if I'm too tired to, and he's very patient with me when I'm trying to make decisions and I can't make up my mind. He will be such a wonderful dad and we can't wait for this little baby to get here!

sounds like a great pregnancy! It's fun when all goes well, huh! I loved being pregnant! Isn't it fun getting all that attention? I really enjoyed your recap! Enjoy the rest of the pregnancy!
What a fun idea to recap all the commonly asked pregnancy questions. Great idea.
This is such a cute idea!! I'm already going to say it because I someday when I'm pregnant I'm going to be sick as a dog, NO FAIR you never threw up. Guess you are one of the blessed to enjoy pregnancy.
That was pretty much my pregnancy also, everything you described! Except I didn't get carpel tunnel and I bought lots of baby stuff but never wanted to set it up until the last week.
